WCCA is an Ontario-registered non-political, non-religious, and non-profit organization with a vision to become a leader in serving and representing the interest of the ethnic Chinese community in the Region of Waterloo.

History:

WCCA was founded in 2007 by the then Executive Committe of CPACTT (Chinese Professional Association of Canada's Technology Triangle) with the idea of forming a parent organization of CPACTT for a broader reach to the Chinese community in the Region of Waterloo. Incepted in 2003, CPACTT has a vision of serving as a platform for the ethnic Chinese professionals to share knowledge in Canada 's Technology Triangle - the Waterloo region and its surrounding areas. Over the years, CPACTT had grown amazingly, becoming the largest Chinese association in the Kitchener Waterloo and Cambridge/Guelph area. The success of CPACTT had also motivated its founders and management team to do more, reach out to more diverse groups of Chinese Canadians, and develop better platforms to serve the local ethnic Chinese community as a whole.
